Overview

The touchSMS integration with Go High Level (GHL) allows you to send and receive SMS directly from your CRM. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up the integration and send SMS messages from GHL once installed.


Setup Instructions

Step 1: Obtain Your touchSMS API Key

  1. Log in to your touchSMS account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > API Keys.
  3. Generate a new API key if you don’t already have one.
  4. Copy the API key, as you will need it in Go High Level.

Step 2: Integrate touchSMS with Go High Level

  1. Log in to your Go High Level account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Twilio (under Business Settings).
  3. Click on Add Custom SMS Provider.
  4. Select touchSMS from the list of providers.
  5. Paste your touchSMS API key into the required field.
  6. Click Save to apply the settings.

Step 3: Configure Your SMS Settings

  1. Set up your Virtual Number in touchSMS for inbound SMS handling.
  2. Configure your SMS templates and automation workflows within GHL.
  3. Ensure that your touchSMS balance is sufficient for sending messages.

Sending SMS from Go High Level

Option 1: Sending SMS from Contacts

  1. Navigate to Contacts in Go High Level.
  2. Select the contact you wish to message.
  3. In the message field, type your SMS.
  4. Click Send – the message will be sent via touchSMS’s direct routes.

Option 2: Automating SMS in Workflows

  1. Go to Automations > Workflows.
  2. Click Create Workflow or select an existing one.
  3. Add a new Action and select Send SMS.
  4. Type your message or use pre-configured templates.
  5. Click Save and activate the workflow.

Option 3: Bulk SMS Campaigns

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.
  2. Create a new SMS campaign.
  3. Select the target audience and message content.
  4. Schedule or send the campaign immediately.

Managing Inbound SMS

  1. Ensure you have a Virtual Number assigned in touchSMS.
  2. Set up inbound message routing in Settings > SMS Routing.
  3. Monitor inbound responses in Conversations within GHL.
  4. Automate responses using workflows for better engagement.

Troubleshooting

  • SMS Not Sending? Check your API key, SMS balance, and correct sender ID.
  • Inbound SMS Not Receiving? Ensure your Virtual Number is configured correctly.
  • Automations Not Triggering? Verify workflow settings and test with a sample contact.
